as i see it.
McCain was aquitted from any wrong doing.

Steve your audacity is blaringly apparent. You want to throw around McCain's supposed inexperience in 2000, yet you are willing to vote in a junior senator into the highest office in the land, who has so many ties to corruption and deciet beyond a resonable doubt. How does that make sense to you when you go to sleep at night?

More info about the bracelet, the family asked BO repetedly NOT to wear the bracelet and NOT to use their son's name in the vein of political gain. This is a newsflash you will NEVER see in the MSM.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Keating 5 Get a clue?
Lost in the frothing over Keating 5 is the FACT that the other 4 were Democrats, & what discipline was eventually handed out by congress to Mr. McCain, (an entry in the record that McCain used poor judgement...) No one mentions that it was McCain who declined to hide behind priveledge and was the lead/star witness in the prosecutions case againt Mr. Keating who recieved 10 years in prison...
I urge people to find out what the other 4 have to say about the way McCain was scapegoated so as to give the whole affair a bi-partisan flavor...
A note for Sen. Obama if you're going to wear a remebrence bracelet of a a fallen soldier it behooves you to at least remember the man's name with out having to look at it or read your notes... What a pathetic display that was...

And, no
I was not aware of his part in the Keating 5 back in 2000. Though I would likely have accepted it then as the mistake of an inexperienced politician rather than an emblem of his poor judgment and willingness to cave on that which he knows and feels is wrong. Which I believe is the case now. Think back a couple of years - don't you remember him talking out of both sides of his mouth when talking about Bush and the war in Iraq? Knocking the administration, harshly criticizing policy and yucking it up with John Stewart for the college kids at night and then sucking it up and going along with all of it come the light of morning in Washington.

Dogma: part of the problem, Rob & Phil
Yes, it is true that I am intolerant of those responsible for dragging our country through the mud of a preemptive war at the expense of countless lives, dollars, truth and our standing in the world. What does America stand for when our nation engages in the type of military action and diplomatic bullying and posturing that we've fought against for generations? When those things gained through bloodshed, diplomacy and innovation are regularly used as empty campaign fodder rather than guiding principles and ideals? Why would anyone choose to focus on left or right when the fundamental truths of our country have been cashed in by greed and lies? Why would you allow the pundits and media to use the bits of what you believe is right to assembled a patchwork of lies that matches their current agenda? How dare you claim the higher ground when faced with the current realities that surround us. I was a huge fan of John McCain circa 2000 but he has compromised far too much to get this close to the seat of power.
