Even the Left are getting sick of it. They probably forgot why they voted for him.

"Even the Left are getting sick of it. They probably forgot why they voted for him."

1. When did Esquire become part of "the Left." I missed that.

2. Does this mean you all will stop referring to him as the Messiah?

3. How long before Obama matches Reagan's record for "Vanity Fair covers with the president's picture on it"?

Right you are. How much would anyone bet that as his Presidency unravels more and more he will all of a sudden find religion. He will go to church every Sunday, Saturday if necessary and will have a huge camera crew outside to film him and his family going in and coming out. Nothing is beneath this man. If he finds that church will help his cause he will use that as he uses everything else.

there is something twisted in the assessment that there is a lack of morals in the Rep party, let's see, all the people currently under investigation by the ethics committee are dems. of the worse kind, where is the morality of a...let's say franks, whose boyfriend was pretty much running "cakk-boys" from his basement. What about the Democratic lie on issues like the economic meltdown and the Fanny, Freddie and Country wide mess...I gather you slept through the whole unconfortable incident, while the reps were calling for regulations and frankie franks was asking us to invest in these institutions which are solid... your myopic view of the issues which led us where we are don't let you see a snake-oil salesman for what he is, too young too daft, too inexperienced, and definitely lackluster and leadershipless.

Celebrity or Never Ending Campaigner?
Obama keeps himself in the limelight doing nothing but campaigning and sewing the seeds of Marxism with his appointments of radical, some extremely so, far-left czars (dozens of them) and other radical far-left political appointmentees whose sole purposes are to destroy the base and fibers of democracy in our country. Pelosi and Reid lead the Congress and Senate by the noses, keep the opposition locked out of any decision making processes, glue on Constitution destroying far-reaching attachments to most bills, and according to Obama "Tell the Republicans what and what not to do!" Meanwhile, Obama keeps sucking up prime time television time preaching his straight faced lies and indoctrination propaganda. He and his minions go unchallenged by the main stream media who can no longer be trusted as watchdogs. Checks and balances no longer exist. GOD SAVE OUR COUNTRY!
clarityseeker writes: Thursday, November, 05, 2009 9:27 AM
Esquire comes out and requests of Obama:
"Please STOP being a celebrity."

I do not ever recall any "entertainment mags" asking G.W. Bush to cease acting as a "celebrity".
WHY?

Because G.W. Bush never behaved as such-----WELL----except for in the virtual reality inhabited by drama-queens such as, Pathological Liberal.

How many magazine covers has the Messiah been graced upon? It's in the hundreds now. Bush, a handful in 8 years.

How many laughable Nobel Peace prizes did G.W. Bush receive for his IMAGE?

How many fawning press members and "reporters" and commentators got, "a tingling up their leg" over the celebrity of, G.W. Bush? HA!!!

There is only one president in this decade known for his celebrity--only one. He's been on the golf course well over two dozen times. he's vacationed multiple times. He's cavorted with Hollywierdos ad nauseum.

Pathetic Liberal is stuck on stupid.
SJA writes: Thursday, November, 05, 2009 9:10 AM
Pathetic Lib
As usual you spew nonsense. Just too bad reality escapes you.

Obama has spent more time on TV and posing for magazine covers than any President before him. The people of this country are suffering and the soldiers in Afghanistan are sitting ducks but this clown spends his time preening for what he believes are his fawning fans. Well more and more of those fans are no longer fawning. The election was over a year ago. Most expected him to actually get to work. Most expected that he would have some real solutions for the country. They now know that preening and posing is all he actually knows how to do. Watching the President on TV again or seeing him on another magazine cover does not do much to feed your family when you have been out of work for months.
Patriotic Liberal writes: Thursday, November, 05, 2009 8:56 AM
you fools will believe anything..
..so long as it is what you WANT to believe. I'm no psychologist--don't even have much use for the "discipline"--but that seems to be the ultimate narcissism: seeing what you want to see..

Obama is far less of a callow, preening, morally shallow, self-absorbed pretty boy than Mr. Baby Boomer himself, George W. Bush. That's how it goes. People don't see it because we have a generation of Americans led by a generation of Republican clowns into a state of moral ridiculousness. People don't see it--right-wingers and their tools inside the beltway and in the MSM--because they have zero moral judgment.

another legacy from the Great Father, Ronald Reagan.

He doesn't know where the Oval office is
He's lost in the White House and can't find his office so he wanders around doing what strikes his fancy.

My best guess was his being raised by welfare has his thought process skewed a bit... Get all you can at the beginning of the month because at the end of the month, it'll all be gone.

The rest of us try to save for a rainy day (oh wait, it's raining!) while the POTUS is running around like a chicken with his head cut off spending money like it's going out of style. He can't spend it fast enough when it's OUR money. However, once he's reined in with the 2010 elections, I think his butt will be in his chair at the Oval Office more often. Time to start being a President, Barry. Time to stop shopping and to start digging us out of this mess.

The only change I see is in my pocket after the government is done raping my pay check.

What did you expect, Gen-Xer's?
Come on, kids! Did you really think you were electing a solid leader? What has he led? Rent Strikes? Various picket lines? A college class or two?

How many tax paying businesses has he owned or started? How may non-government or non-quasi-government jobs has he held? How many times has he had to meet a payroll for the 9-5 working men and women in his employ?

All Obama knows is the dance. The dance of the celeb/politician. I'm reminded of the cartoon my grandson loves: Penguins of Madagasgar: "Smile and wave, Boys. Smile and Wave."

Ya pays your money, and ya takes your chances!

The media can't praise them enough -
USA Today Defines Sycophantic Media in Front Page Homage to Obamas
He carries a smartphone on his hip, goes out for burgers and plays pickup hoops. She goes to their daughters' soccer games, works in the garden and loves listening to her iPod. Together, they host poets, artists and musicians at their house and invite neighborhood kids to drop by.

Their kids, meanwhile, go to birthday parties, romp around with their new dog and get spoiled by Grandma.

Sounds like a lot of families -- but this is the nation's first family.

"The Obamas have changed the culture of the White House," says Dee Dee Myers, President Clinton's first press secretary.

Douglas Brinkley:
Almost as soon as they moved into the White House, the Obamas began entertaining.

They've invited local schoolchildren in for performances, hosted a poetry slam and put on a varied set of musical performances. The Mexican-American rock band Los Lobos played on the South Lawn; Motown legend Stevie Wonder played the East Room. Others who've performed at the White House in the past nine months: the rock band The Foo Fighters, jazz pianist Diana Krall and pop star Fergie.

Coming soon - Reality TV
Now it’s reality TV for the WH? What next, S’so you think can govern?’
(From Politico)

Food Network's "Iron Chef America" taped "several scenes outside the White House in late October," the New York Times reports. The episode, which will open the show’s new season on Jan. 3, features two pairs of chefs competing: "Cristeta Comerford, the White House executive chef, and Bobby Flay go up against the combined forces of Mario Batali and Emeril Lagasse."

First lady Michelle Obama "will reveal the secret ingredient that the chefs must use in their televised cook-off: anything that grows in the White House garden." She "will also talk about her crusade to reduce childhood obesity through better school lunches, community gardens, farmers’ markets and exercise, which around the White House has the working title Healthy Kids Initiative.

Then, there lies the future. It is an uphill battle. Those young parents are also getting promised a ponyride and ice cream after. A close friend has a very liberal inlaw family. The stories would be funny if it were fiction. (call mom and dad by first names, cannot talk about military enrollment, live an elitist life yet cannot connect how you got there).

Interestingly, there are some conservative commercials addressing the kids. One about the Grandkid off to work in his 3 piece. The pledge to China.

BO and his supporters can't stop
if they do, then they have to face up to the fact that the man lacks any OTHER credential for holding the executive office. Being a Rock Star gives them HOPE that he will help Americans FEEL better about the unemployment, defecit and debt facing their children in the future.

Their only HOPE is that Obama can stay 'cool forever' or else this fairy tale will end. Did you read the piece about their marriage in the NY Times? It's puzzling that at a time when the President is Facing Major Decisions - they decided to discuss his personal life not policies that he is pushing.

It's sad because without the marriage and cute kids and his handsome smile coupled with a good speech - the man does not offer much. Say what you will of Reverend Wright - but he has a strong opinion, shares it and has consistent followers who KNOW HIM. Does anyone know who Barak is? I think the liberals are disappointed at his inability to articulate their agenda i.e. same sex marriage, don't ask don't tell, and lowering troop numbers in Iraq and Afghanistan i.e. the pacifist view point.

At least with Wright - he is clear what he believes, who he hates and whom he blames for what is wrong. Obama gives speeches, retracts his statements when anyone is offended and then finds himself saying 'the bill won't pay for abortion' while Nancy is writing abortion into law and the catholic church is having to mobilize it's members to request abortion not be included.

I think they don't care about their PR too much. They plan to focus on the new voters - the kids who were 14 when he ran the first time and will be 18 when he runs for re-election to pick up what he lost with the independents and other young people who are beginning to get it. Yesterday Michelle was at a Miley Cirus show - her kids are too young for that so I think she is 'keeping it cool' with the young and upcoming crowd.

The 20-30 might abandon them in 2012 because most of them will have graduated college or grad. school and either had a tough time getting a job, had their parents lose a job or been let go from a job. The irony is that the economy helped BO the first time and it may well finish his re-election bid in 2012. Unemployment is not going to decrease and Americans take that personally.

I was listening to Levine today when a caller explained how he had just read and learned about the constitution from Levine's book because it's never taught in school and his family has ALWAYS voted for democrats so he did.

He was sad because he voted for Obama out of ignorance. It's callers like that who give me HOPE that we are still in the running for rebuilding the republic.

In case no one is aware of this, BHO actually made the Forbes Top Celebrity list at like 47 ish. First Head of State to make the list.

And Glamour labeled Michelle as the third most glamorous in the world. I doubt anyone here ever saw the wardrobe malfunctions in the first visit with Carla Bruni. The MSM wouldnt allow it. HufPo et al posted only the best pics (the UK and France showed ALL the pics).

Tail waggin the Dog and Pony show. A mile wide, and an inch deep.

Mirror Mirror Mirror on the WALL

He loves himself!!!

Now we know why he is on TV so much, so
he can record it and watch it over and over. This man loves himself
so much I'm amazed he ever got married to someone else.

I wouldn't be surprised if this happens
every morning as he gets ready:

Obama "Mirror, Mirror on the wall
whose the most powerful of them all?”

Mirror “Well of course you are my
wonderful master”

From NEWS BUSTERS

“Robert Gibbs said, well, he was actually watching, you know, the HBO special about his year-long campaign and how it all went.”

summary: he has watched it before!

tribeck: Quite right
Michele can spend hubby's $$ on $500 tennies. It's her right. But it's just plain bad PR.

But running AF1 for date night? Worse than bad PR. Save the conspicuous consumption until AFTER they are outta office.

It's never a good idea to play into your charicature. (sp. But I'm too tired to look it up).

Even Clinton, the Other Young President
found a way to combine personal pleasure with work so that he stayed in the oval office long enough to give the appearance he was 'working for the people'.

Obama needs new handlers who can manage that as well. FYI - does he really have 'happy hour' every wednesday night? This Frat Party is going too far considering we are paying for the tab.

Michelle's shoes, handbags and shopping sprees are justifiable. After 13 years of being the 'high earner' in the family, it's good for her to make her man pay the bills. Obama did confirm they pay for their dates and shopping from their PRIVATE FUNDS.

So we can only whine about the security/airforce one costs - but managing the drunken Bush Twins for 8 years must have cost tax payers a hefty price tag too. The gals partied in Mexico until they turned 21.

And we did not discuss the wedding planning trips:) which cost secret service/transportation costs.

Telling BHO to stop being a celeb...
...is like telling him not to breath. That's ALL he is: a preening attention hog who loves being at the teleprompter in front of styrofoam columns, throwing Kobe beef dinners for his friends, taking his wife on $24,000 date nights and mugging for cameras.

Michele's no better with her $500 tennies, $1200 handbag, shopping in Paris and expensive vacations--all in the middle of the worst depression since the Depression.

Go look up the definition of megalomania. Delusions of grandeur, a sense of self-importance and infallibility. He obviously does not give a rat's behind about the economy, jobs, the well-being of kids in the military or any other dang thing.

Running the country is NOT on his radar. He's outsourcing that like he did when he was editor of the Harvard Law Review.

He's like Hitler. The German people loved Adolph's grandiose promises, but in the end had to admit he was simply mad.
K.G. writes: Wednesday, November, 04, 2009 11:29 PM
This Is Hilarious
"So thanks, Mr. President, but trust me: It's been a year, and we're over it. Go back to the office, forward your Daily Show bookings to Joe Biden (who's way funnier anyway), and come out when you want to be a real Commander-in-Chief. I promise that the culture that elected you will be here when you return — and all the stronger for you having shown it who's in charge."

Go back to the office? Go back to the office? When, in his entire life, has the Playboy in Chief EVER spent any time in any office---except for a photo shoot, that is.

And whoever is "in charge" of this running-away government, it certainly is NOT Barack Hussein Obama, hmmmmm, hmmmmm, hmmmm. The presidency appears to be his own private sandbox--nada mas.

It appears Nutty Nancy is running the show--and we need to get her outta her office.

Condemnatory piece ...
of the man and the culture/electorate that allowed him to be propelled forward.

Best line/thought in the piece regarding 'the people' and Obama obsession in 08; "it looked like parity, but looking back a year later, can we really say it was anything besides hollow, garden-variety exploitation?"

Mr. Obama is a thin shouldred bum of a man that has been elevated from nothing to achieve less.

The sober left will recoil as well. Their reasons will be their own. How they get there is unimportant.
